Artist Lucy Keshavarz, in collaboration with interpretive consultant Linda Emerson of Wisdom through Wonder, designed and installed eight interpretive public art markers for Jaycee Park in the City of Boynton Beach. A great deal of research into the history and culture of Boynton Beach as well as research in Mangrove restoration and habitat was first conducted to determine the story line and what materials should be used. Pilings, coquina rock, decking, sculpted/glazed tile, and laminate panels were used to tell the rich history of Boynton Beach and the story of mangrove mitigation. Lucy acted as lead artist and contractor on this project; designing and fabricating some pieces as well as overseeing the design, fabrication, and installation of the entire project.
